"You may expect this essay be about how I’ve been bullied, or why I’m so upset with being a woman because it’s “unfair” compared to men, or how I’ve been victimized by society. But you’d be wrong, this writing is the observations of a girl who is strong, and wants to make and see a change. We all see issues of bullying, sexism, racism, homophobia, but what if you are contributing to the problem? In this essay, we’ll be diving into the Cycle of Socialization, gender stereotypes, and how we are subconsciously affected by these topics and how we conduct them. I propose to raise your awareness, and hopefully, make you think to be a kinder human, making our world a happier, more accepting atmosphere. So, how is our confidence harmfully affected by gender stereotypes?
